The Graviola tree has a small size, reaching approximately 5 meters in height.
In Brazil it is mainly produced in the Northeast region. It needs a humid climate to develop properly.
The trees produce the fruit throughout the year, so there is no defined season as is the case with other fruits.
Graviola has an oval shape, the shell is green. The bark is not smooth, because it presents small elevations ("thorns") of dark color. In the aspect of flavor closely resembles the fruit of the earl.
The inner part is formed by a white pulp of mildly sweet taste. It also has, in its internal part, a great quantity of seed in the black color. On average, a soursop can reach 1 to 2 pounds.
